About

Planning to write is not writing.
Outlining a book is not writing. Researching is not writing.
Talking to people about what you’re doing, none of that is writing.
Writing is writing.
~ E. L. Doctorow

I gave my friend Lisa $100 and agreed to send her at least 1,000 words every Sunday by midnight. If I don’t, she gets to spend $10 from the kitty.

That buys me at least ten weeks of motivation to write – we’ll see what happens.

  1. Like your style. Breezy, and accessible. Yet good to think about. Looks like you’re about the redemption of the world, as we all should be. I’m not Catholic, but like the uniforms. Kidding! Actually I occupy that realm where I am honest about Protestant inconsistencies. Actually some of them are heretical and harmful to the Church. But I can’t go the Catholic distance either. Leaves me uncomfortable most of the time. Read the ‘Nativity Sets, Mary Worship, etc’. Good blog. Mary is one of those puzzles to me. I was taught to ignore her, but I was also taught to believe the Bible. When I believe the Bible, then Mary becomes precious to me. Can’t ignore her. Even pray the ‘Hail Mary’ sometimes. It is scripture after all. Anyway, I think I’ll be back and read some more. Keep writing. The internet is such a gift for good. I write too, a little blog here and there. I believe in redemption too. It’s the only thing that will save the world, and it does need saving. God Bless and Merry Christmas!

    • My apologies for such a long delay in response, Marty. You wrote back in January when we were in the throes of the Polar Vortex, and I imagine I simply had a frozen brain.

We’re in a July thaw now, so I’m catching up on things. Many thanks for your comment and kind words. I hope you’ll keep reading and passing along your comments. Plus, I’ll try to track down your blog(s) as well. Please say a prayer for me; I’ll say one for you.
